I would like to quickly clarify what happened at the Kanye West show in California. Actually, it was a Common show that Kanye popped up on. Last week I said that Kanye dissed the Grammys. Well, it wasn't at the Anaheim show like I said. This apparently occurred at the Hollywood show at the House of Blues. I wasn't there so I didn't hear it or anything. Also, I heard that in a third verse freestyle, Kanye said “I beat 50."

He was born July 17, 1918, in Chicago to Walter and Sophie (Smolen) Jarzemski and graduated high school in Chicago. Ed had served in the United States Army during World War II. On Sept. 28, 1946, he married Charlotte Pittman in La Crosse and she preceded him in death on Jan. 20, 1998.Ed had worked as a machinist for La Crosse Trane Co. for 33 years until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 839 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1920 in La Crosse.Ed is survived by two daughters, Susan (Kim) Krueger of Sparta, Wis., and Sarah (Richard) Luebke of Wisconsin Dells, Wis.; two sons, David Jarzemski (Kathy Brotherwood) of La Crosse and Donald Jarzemski of La Crosse; five grandchildren, Bradley (Laura) Krueger, Kurt (Cynthia) Krueger, Brian (Jill) Jarzemski, Kimberly (Donald) Bolliger and Scott (Rumi) Leubke; and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to his wife, Charlotte, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Senger and Eleanor Pittman.A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m.

Glendive hosts three on three tourney

The Glendive Recreation Department will be hosting a three on three half court basketball tournament.Divisions will be fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grades with an entry fee of $75 per team. The boys three on three tournament is scheduled for Dec. 29. Registration deadline for this tournament is Dec. 21.The girls three on three tournament is scheduled for Jan. 26, 2008. Abstract Summary: This analysis was performed to evaluate the efficacy of clevudine in chronic hepatitis B patients with cirrhosis. Data from 23 patients with chronic hepatitis B and cirrhosis were collected. Among them, 5 patients were diagnosed with decompensated liver cirrhosis or hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). For patients who received clevudine for at least 12 weeks, preliminary data indicated that 20 patients (87%) had HBV DNA less than 1,000 copies/mL and 17 patients (74%) had normal alanine transferase (ALT).
